Masseria Tagliente

In the heart of the Apulian countryside, among the rolling hills of the Murge, Masseria Tagliente has preserved for over a century and a half the slow rhythm of country living, silence, and the understated elegance of life in the countryside. A place where nothing has been rebuilt or reinvented, but simply preserved.

Set within a vast oak woodland, among ancient trulli and open pastures, Masseria Tagliente offers an intimate and timeless experience, far removed from mass tourism. Here, Puglia reveals itself in its most authentic form, in a place where every stay becomes a return to what truly matters.

Historic Villa

The manor house, elegant and imposing, is furnished with original period pieces that bear witness to a long and storied past. An authentic place, preserved in both its architecture and spirit, deeply rooted in the surrounding land.

Our philosophy is to share with our guests the old-world meaning of “villeggiatura” — the pleasure of spending time in a country villa, enjoying rest, the scent of the countryside, and the flavour of genuine local produce.

Murgese Horses

Masseria Tagliente is a working farm, home to horses and other animals.

It is renowned for one of the most important breeding farms of Murgese horses, an ancient native breed, with the award-winning stallion Unveronapolitano as the symbol of a living tradition deeply rooted in this land.

The herd roams freely through the woodland surrounding the estate and every day comes to drink from the old cistern in front of the house.

A stay in Masseria Tagliente
it’s a suspended time,
between history, nature and silence.

in the Heart of the Itria Valley

Nestled in the countryside around Martina Franca, among woods, trulli and open pastures, the masseria enjoys a privileged location, just a short distance from the Sassi of Matera and the villages of the Itria Valley, including Locorotondo, Cisternino and Ostuni, as well as the coastal areas of Savelletri, Monopoli and Polignano a Mare.

Lecce and the Salento region are also only a short drive away.
